This Privacy Policy informs the users of the webpages on which this Privacy Policy is displayed (“the Webpages”) how we collect and process the personal data and other information of such users in connection with their usage of the Webpages.

- Who do we transfer your personal data to and where are they located?
 

We may transfer your personal data to third parties for the processing purposes described above as follows:

  • Within our parent entity and its affiliates and subsidiaries: Our parent entity, Kao Corporation, in Japan and each of its affiliates and subsidiaries (the parent entity or each affiliate or subsidiary including us referred to as "the group company")
  • With data processors: Certain third parties, whether affiliated or unaffiliated, may receive your personal data to process such data under appropriate instructions ("Processors") as necessary for the processing purposes described above, such as website service providers, IT support service providers and other service providers who support us in maintaining the Webpages. The Processors will be subject to contractual obligations to implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to safeguard the personal data, and to process the personal data only as instructed.
  • Other recipients: We may transfer - in compliance with applicable data protection law - personal data to law enforcement agencies, governmental authorities, judicial authorities, legal counsel, external consultants, or business partners. In case of a corporate merger or acquisition, personal data may be transferred to the third parties involved in the merger or acquisition. - How long do we keep your personal data?
 

Your personal data will be retained as long as necessary to fulfil the processing purposes described above. Once the processing purposes are completed or otherwise ended your relationship with us, we will remove your personal data from our systems and records or take steps to properly anonymize it so that you can no longer be identified from it (unless we need to keep your information to comply with legal or regulatory obligations to which the group company is subject).

- What rights do you have and how can you assert your rights?
 

Right to withdraw your consent: If you have declared your consent regarding certain collecting, processing and use of your personal data, you can withdraw this consent at any time with future effect. Such a withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the consent withdrawal. Please contact us as stated in Section 7 below to withdraw your consent.

2. Which data do we process?

Our processing includes the data you provide at the time of your registration for the CRM system at SUQQU stores e.g. your name, your address, your e-mail address, your telephone number and your social media accounts. Once you have signed up for the CRM system, we may keep track of your SUQQU purchases and any samples handed out to you (including information about your skin type).

 
3. Which are the purposes of processing?

With your consent, we process your data in relation to the CRM system for SUQQU, which you may revoke at any time (contractual purposes). With your prior consent (which you may revoke), we send you the latest news on promotional activities and events for SUQQU ("marketing purposes"). Further, we process your data to offer you a personalized shopping experience when shopping with us, and analyse the advertising and marketing performance of SUQQU products in the context of market research while balancing this legitimate interest with the need to protect your rights ("marketing purposes based on the legitimate interest"). We also process your data to comply with legal and regulatory obligations ("legal purposes").

 
4. What is the legal basis for the processing?

The processing of your data for contractual and marketing purposes is subject to your prior consent which you may, in any case, revoke. The processing for marketing purposes based on legitimate interest is in our legitimate interest, taking into account the limits imposed on this type of processing in accordance with the law. The processing of your data for legal purposes is mandatory according to applicable law.

 
5. Who receives your data?

We may share your data only with our service providers (for example, direct mail services performed on our behalf, accounting, and telecommunications and IT services). We process and store your data as long as it is necessary for the above mentioned purposes and will delete or destroy if these purposes cease to exist. If you unsubscribe from our marketing communications, your data for that purpose will be deleted or destroyed.
